2015 Colorado. Any plans for a review?

Just here...
Perhaps that is the "problem", no one is offering a true compact anymore...with these midsizes being so close in size, specs, and price to a 1/2 ton...it is hard to see the value of them. Not that I don't like them, just looking at what you get for roughly the same money. Perhaps if a manufacture went back to the true compact, we would see stellar fuel economy.

It is because there really is no market for a compact truck anymore. Add that to the fact that by the time you add in all the things needed to pass safety standards/ requirements in a compact truck, there would be almost no room people inside.

I do agree on most of the sentiments that it might not have gone far enough, particularly in the mileage department. On the other hand, I can understand why they might not have been willing to go that far. Huge outlay of resources on something that might not really pan out.

I did not forget about the H3, of the H3T. Just not anything I like. Personal opinion here but the itty bitty windows make for visibility issues for me. Much the same reason why I do not like the FJC.

Good points...how do vehicles like the Smart get by...or or they being phased out? I don't pay much attention to the sub-sub-compacts.

This thing has a greater payload than a Tacoma.

.

True...seems like they went all out though...other than fuel economy, though for how big that thing is...I don't know how they are going to do it without going diesel which is coming, really think they should of released the diesel "like right now" since Ram is already here...and the refresh of the F150's almost here at the dealers. Seems like a bad marketing move to me.

Diesel is a whole another can of worms...as we discussed.

I don't get this - the Rubicon has electric shift too... do I really need to climb under my wife's JK and take a picture for you?

Oh, I missed this. Yes, please post a picture of an electric shift Jeep Rubicon transfercase. I'd love to see the one and only one on the planet. The Wrangler has a cable shifted transfercase. :coffeedrink:

Rumor has it we are two days away from seeing an Off-Road version of the Colorado. Perhaps maybe a Raptor fighter? I doubt it but we'll see at the LA Auto Show

Probably more like the Toyota TRD Pro...I am guessing.

Got to borrow the Colorado thread for a quick second to help educate Superbuickguy on his Jeep JK Rubicon transfercase and save him the time from crawling under his in the snow…..

Below you will find a Jeep Rock-Trac transfercase from 2011 Jeep Wrangler Ruby. You may notice a black devise with what looks like a shift lever hanging on the bottom. In fact, that is a shift lever. That lever is exactly like the one you will find on trans tunnel of your Jeep. The only difference between this one and the one in your Jeep is the fact this one is in this picture and yours is in your Jeep. Simple no?

Next you may notice a long tubular item that runs from the shifting devise to the actual transfercase selector shift, which is a little hard to see in this exhibit due to the position the shifting devise is carelessly placed on top the case. That devise is the shift cable. Normally (only about 100% of the time) when you see a shifting devise like that with a cable or metal rods connecting to the transfercase it is very safe to assume you have a MANUAL transfercase. A manual shift transfercase is not an electric shift transfercase. People unfamiliar with their way around modern vehicles often get confused when they see wires plugged into the speed sensor and range position sensor thinking they have an electric shift piece of transfercase.

Yeah, that is what I think too. A TRD wiper more than a mini-Power Wagon or Raptor. Love those wheels!!

If they do I hope it's better then the "Reaper" they came out with!

I hear ya but, “they” are not the creators of the Reaper. The Reaper is regular Silverado upfitted by Lingenfelter.

From Chevrolet’s Facebook page… This must be the new ZR2 we’ve been hearing rumors about. Should be interesting.

Off roading will never be the same after tomorrow. Stay tuned to the LA Auto Show to see why.

I knew I should have paid more attention to it, but as Jeeps are for girls
jeeps_are_for_girls.jpg

... I simply don't care... for those who need pictures, here it is flexing... I didn't want to hurt that little, fragile thing.

oh yeah, and not-yet-patented parts

I was just curious, but since you want to be a prick I'll call it like I see it. A pair of Chinese turbos and crappy welds are all I see without any dyno proof or even video of a running setup, care to prove me wrong?

There is that rumor that Dodge is going to release that Fiat based car truck. Having personally seen the Mexican Chevrolet catruck, I would vote a hardy no thanks. It really is like a Cobalt with a bed. If that turns you on, check out the Smyth conversion for the MKIV Jetta.

I really would think an electric assist hybrid would have put the city mileage up there. That would have been a market revolution, or segment whatever, like they claimed it to be. Alas, too much.
