I'll second the photo demand. It's interesting to see what other folks are doing with this relatively rare truck. I've had my '16 SLT Crewcab Shortbed for 2 months and love it. I drove larger trucks (F-250s, Tundras, etc.) for a long time and just got tired of big trucks. The Canyon is much more fun to drive.

The GMC dealer is installing the Readylift 1.25" Leveling Kit on the 14th to get rid of the rake and improve the approach angle. You might want to reconsider the CAI. I've installed them on several vehicles and never noticed the slightest difference in performance...plus they do not appear to provide as much protection as the stock systems. They only thing they do is make the vehicle sound meaner. I have noticed performance differences with aftermarket exhausts, but I've discovered that I prefer quieter vehicles at my somewhat advanced age.

One problem with the Canyon is that there are very few aftermarket accessories available. I've been waiting for Snugtop to produce a shell for the shortbed. They just started producing two of their lower-end shells for the shortbed within the last week or so. I'm waiting on the Super Sport, which is supposed to be available to order late in December. A.R.E has a shell for the shortbed, but I visited the dealer and was not impressed. A friend of mine just ordered an A.R.E. for her new Silverado and hates it. There are sharp edges at the bottom of the back window and it leaks terribly.

I did manage to find some rock rails and a Bull Bar to mount a 20" Rigid E2 Series light bar. However, the Bull Bar significantly reduced my approach angle so I'm looking for a different mount for the bar...perhaps Rigid's new grille replacement. I've seen several single-row bars mounted in the space below the grille, but I prefer the much brighter dual-row Rigids. I ran the E Series and E2 Series lights on my Jeeps for many years and have never found anything that compares in light output.
