We are finally back from the 2015 Overland Expo and settling in for the summer.

Here are some photos from the event a couple weeks ago in case you couldn't make it.

The weather was a bit rough, but all in all, I think most everyone had a good time.

I saved them in our DropBox account due to the large number of photos in the gallery.

Stan.
most of your pics must be before the rain & snow , wind and cold weather. I think by most account it was more than weather was a bit rough. happy you enjoyed.

Over the years we have done some custom builds on the Four Wheel Campers (usually when times were slower).

But in the past couple of years we have been too busy to get involved with anything custom, for the most part.

The Green Machine (what we call it), the Big Silver Spur box camper mounted on the FUSO in the pictures was the last custom project we worked on a couple years back.

It really took a toll on the production department. We are just too busy to be doing custom work on a regular basis. Most of those builds we really don't end up making any money on, when all of the parts & labor is added up. But it does get us good press and keeps the FWC name out there. :)

I thought Four Wheel Campers didn't do custom builds?

Hello Don

Contacting Matt @ Main Line Overland might be your best bet for a flat bed price quote. They can design the flat bed for your truck, and order a flat bed camper for you as well. They really know their stuff and will take good care of you. They are a full service shop and handle most anything you will want for overland travel (accessories, vehicle builds, camper sales, roof top tents, hosting Overland Events, etc.)

Awesome Pictures Stan. Can you give me some options for a alum. bed for a full size ford to fit the Grandby or Hawk flat bed models?

And maybe some more info about the box unit on the back of the Fuso? Is there a build thread anywhere, or a layout with interior pics?

Thanks!

Don

I know how that goes. I do custom residential construction work.

I saw one of your custom boxes on a Fuso in Playa Del Rey recently. I was drooling.

At one time I was considering a custom pop-up camper build and was hoping to get you guys (or even ATC) to do it. Then it seemed the only company readily willing to do it was Phoenix. Couldn't go that route. I ended up going with the '88 Keystone/'93 F-350 Rat Camper project. For which my kids's college funds will be eternally grateful.

Still, big hats off to FWC for your willingness to help used camper owners with their remodeling/upgrading work. I surely might desire your assistance in that department some day.

Hi Stan,

This is Andrew from Hong Kong. We are about ready for order of two campers. What is the production date line up to at current time?

Thanks!

Andrew

There is much to be said for the practicality of your setup. I owned a custom flat bed truck 20+ years ago and have dreamed of another since... though the practicality of a regular pickup bed, including 'standard' slide-in campers that are made to fit them, is hard to argue against.

Thanks for sharing pics Stan.
