2015 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 crew cab standard bed. Seats 6.
I am the original owner and have taken good care of this truck. My needs have changed so it’s time to pass her on to someone else.
2015 Ram 2500, 6.7 diesel with almost 136,000 miles.
This is the tradesman package so it has cloth seats and not a lot of bells/whistles. What it does have is manual shift on the fly 4x4 which eliminates the sometimes problematic electrical engagement found on most trucks.
Just got back from a 500 mile (each way) drive to San Diego and got 20.2 mpg on the way down and 19.6 on the way home according to the computer. That was driving 75-80 mph on the freeway.
Upgrades:
-AEV wheels with 35x12.5/17 all terrain tires.
-Fox 2.0 shocks with stock rear springs and Thuren 1.5 inch springs in the front. Rides better than you’d think.
-Aluminess rear bumper with dual swing outs (second spare tire mounted in the stock location. LED light mounted in the rear bumper and wired to the back up lights
-TJM front bumper with a Warm M12000 winch mounted inside. Rigid LED lights mounted in the bumper and wired to the SPOD switches on the dash. I chose this bumper over the ARB because it has a skid plate underneath that protects the intercooler.
-Snug Top shell with the adventure package which has rails to mount a roof rack and is reinforced to hold 500lbs on a rack. The inside of the shell has a headliner and LED light. Side windows open for easy access.
-gun safe mounted under the rear passenger side floor boards.
-Wet Okole seat covers. These have been on since new and are heated with map pockets. Seats are immaculate underneath.
-Weathertech floor mats. I installed these after maybe a thousand miles of driving. Carpet underneath is perfect.
-SPOD switch system. You can see them mounted in the AEV switch panel on the top of the dash. Makes adding accessories a breeze. Never need to run wire into the cab again just connect them to the SPOD in the engine compartment.
-bed rug liner for the truck bed. I chose this over a spray in liner because it is thick and corrugated to match the bed. It insulates and creates a nice flat space to sleep.
-comes with an AEV pro cal and snow chains.
Recent maintenance:
About 5k miles ago I had the fluids changed in both differentials, transfer case and transmission. Also had the radiator flushed and new front brakes installed (rear were like new according to the diesel shop).
Known issues:
This is a great truck and could be driven anywhere.
The only issues I know of are the cracked/chipped drivers side tail light (wife backed into a pole b4 I put the bumper on), scratch on the passenger side from mid-front fender to mid-door, Some pin striping here and there, running boards are old and faded (I bought them used to get in/out easier). Box on the aluminess carrier is dented (just a little) from my daughter tapping it while parking behind me on the street.
That’s all I can think of…. This is a great truck for so many reasons. I used it for camping and commuting. The only time I pulled anything was to help a friend who bought a car. We rented a u haul car hauler and picked up a 1998 4Runner from Fairfield and towed it to castro valley.
Price is 36k which feels fair based on all the extras. I’m not interested in trades unless you have a jeep LJ.
Thanks for reading. If the ad is up I still have the truck.
