Either should be fine, provided you run at proper inflation, which will probably be close to max on the lesser rated tire.

I'm rolling on Toyo AT2's that are rated for a touch more than 4k per tire.
It allows us to run lower pressures, softening the ride and lessening the chance of punctures.

I’ve got a 2016 RAM 2500 that is usually carrying a Northstar TC650 and switched from BFG KO2’s to AT3 XLT’s. I vastly prefer the Coopers as the KO2’s had a much softer rubber that didn’t hold up to the weight and torque of the rig. After about 10k miles on the Coopers I’ve found them to be more durable, quieter, and comparable traction to KO2’s.

I’ve also got Timbrens on the truck and have been happy. They work as advertised and are bombproof. You might look at SumoSprings too. Similar concept but comes in a wider range of stiffnesses so you can fine tune for your load.

Thanks! That’s great info. Do you know what you Coops are rated to weight wise?
When I looked, the 35x12.5r20 had a 3100lb rating
325/60r20 had a 3700lb rating. Wondering which I should go with

Mine are 285/75R18, which is basically a skinny 35”, and are good for 4079# each.

I wish I had them money to buy new wheels, I would much rather have some 17 or 18’s under my truck. But it has 20’s so hugest I’ll go with the 325/60’s

With all this talk about tire capacities, you really should check wheel capacities too.

The ones we run with our high capacity Toyos are just tire shop specials,
but were the highest rated they had and are rated at 3700lbs as I recall.

I dont really like the look.... but they are not totally ugly.

Mine are factory, I’ll check with Ram, but I’m not sure on what they are rated for.

I like the wheels too! I was looking at some Method HD’s in Bronze, or some if the new Icon wheels...

The squat isn’t as bad as it looks, but I’m still looking at getting some airbags ASAP. I’m thinking of getting manual fill airbags, and then getting an ARB or similar compressor.

New tires and some lights are immediate mods coming.

Is that camper designed for an 8 foot bed?
I would recommend hitting the scales and comparing measured weights to the GAWR sticker on your door.

The Adventurer 86FB is designed for 6-8’ beds. It’s all safe, the center of gravity on the camper is directly over the rear wheels.
It does look a little funny, but it’s how they are built.

I found a pair of stock AL wheels and 35" (worn out) tires for $400 on CL

Still haven't sold my 20s yet to afford tires on the new-to-me wheels

I checked out a few on CL, I just didn’t find any I liked. I really want bronze wheels. But after buying this truck, and a camper, I can’t really justify it at the moment. Who knows though, we’ll see how much trouble I can get myself into.

Trying to pick between spending $1500 for anew set of tires, or spending $2000 on new tires and wheels that I love...
Just posted my current set of tires and wheels on OfferUp and CL. Hope someone bites
