2015 Toyota Tacoma TX Pro 4dr, short bed

147,467 miles, located in Columbus, Ohio

$29,000.00 OBO

I bought this vehicle in 2019 with 66k miles on it and have slowly built it up to what it is today. My family and I have been on many trips with it and the truck has never let me down. I have a list of maintenance attached. Most of the maintenance and installs were completed by D&R Motors in Columbus. I am selling due to a growing family and us not being able to fit everyone plus gear anymore. The truck is also a second vehicle and is garage kept since 2020.

Exterior:

  • Prinsu Cab rack
  • 1 set of Roam box mounts
  • 2 95L Roam boxes
  • New Holland Overland Limb Risers
  • TRD Pro Grill
  • SOS Offroad Hybrid front bumper w/ Warn Winch
  • Factor 55 Prolink Shackle Mount
  • Rigd Ultraswing w/ Ultratable, WobNot, & Sidehack with a Rotapax 2 Gal mounted

  • Blueridge Overland Gear Tacoma Attic
  • LED interior lights
  • Kenwood radio with apple carplay
  • Audison Speakers
  • Victory 4x4 Center Console Organizer
  • Amazon Center Console Organizer

  • Weathertech Floor Mats

  • Lighting:
  • TEQ Customs Turbine LED Projector Headlights
  • Amazon lightbar on bumper, roof rack, and side lighting
  • Diode Dynamics yellow fog lights, ditch lights, and aux reverse lights

Things of note:

The truck is in great condition but does have a couple marks from being out on the trails. The rear bumper and driver cab corner have small dents (in pictures). There are also scratches/pin-striping on the body. The rear seat has what appears to be remnants of expanding foam that I haven’t been able to remove (see photo). The Trail Team wheels came with the truck when I bought it. Two of them are missing the center caps, which I have tried to replace with factory center caps. None of them have fit, which leads me to believe these wheels are potentially aftermarket. I do have some of the original OEM parts (headlights, front grill, etc.), that will also come with the truck.

I would potentially be willing to do a trade for a camper or a 80s Toyota 4Runner, but buying the vehicle outright is preferred.

FYI... those are wheels off a 08 Trail Teams FJ... so that might be why you haven't found center caps that fit them.

2015 Tacoma did not have a TX pro but it was the first and only 2.5 gen Tacoma that had a TRD Pro that came with the famous FJ wheels with the faux beadlock. Unfortunately silver was not offered in the TRD Pro trim.

If you have a locker then it's a a TRD Off-road. It's not a sport since it doesn't have the faux hood scoop.

You can paste the VIN in a Google search to find out more details.

Toyota did have a T/X and TX Pro package. I believe it came out in either 2009 at SEMA and/or then debuted to the public in 2011. It is not an actual TRD Pro like we are used to seeing nowadays, which I am not trying to say this truck is a TRD Pro. It was a graphics package, with wheels, TRD exhaust on a TRD Off-road model. It does have the e-locker as well as part of the off-road package.

Here is an article from Motortrend for anyone interested:

Also, price drop to $29,000.00

Yes, you're right. The TX Pro was only offered as a 2011 model year, TX Baja was only offered in 2012-2013, then 2015 was where we saw the first and only Gen 2.5 TRD Pro.

I guess I'm trying to say that the title is misleading.

Well I am definitely not trying to mislead anyone into thinking I have a TRD Pro. My title certainly doesn't suggest that.

There really isn't a lot of information out there on the T/X or T/X Pro package, but there are certainly "T/X Pro's" listed elsewhere, and not just 2011s.

At the end of the day, the package that is on the truck is the same as a TRD Off-road, but otherwise, the truck is vastly different from a stock off-road, and that is where the value is, not in the badging. Let me know if you're interested.
