This was the first year in 15 years that I didn't make a single contact over Field Day weekend. With school over the summer, just didn't have the time this year to prepare.

I don't know if I'm getting older or what (at 30 :sombrero but the makeup of my local club just doesn't interest me as much as it once did. Once you get to 100 members, things just get weird.

I was on top of Kettle Rock, using my portable I chatted with the Lassen group that was setting up for field day. I'd totally forgotten about field day. Nice bunch of guys. I gotta get to work on my general .
