2016 GMC DuraMax Diesel Quigley 4x4, fully custom 1 of a kind...

This isn’t your average 4x4 van. If you are familiar with the GMC/Chevy vans then you know they stopped producing this 6.6 liter DuraMax engine in this van. 2016 was the last year they offered this option. I bought this van new at the beginning of 2017 from a GMC dealership in Wyoming with the Quigley 4x4 system already installed, so it does have a factory warranty. I had it shipped to Sportsmobile first to get their electric penthouse top installed. From there it came to my home in Southern CA for a short period of time before going to Weldtec Designs in El Cajon. They installed their coiIover suspension kit w/ Deaver Springs in the rear & upgraded King external res shocks in the F&R. Upper and lower control arms, upgraded steering rods, mini fender flares, custom rock sliders, custom front sleeper bumper w/ Baja Designs light bar, custom rear bumper w/ spare tire rack & license plate bracket, Aluminess box, Method wheels on 35” Toyo Open Country RT’s and more was all done at Weldtec Designs. Next it went to American Van Works for the inside finishes. Fully insulated with Dynamat & Thinsulate everywhere, Lonseal floor, L track in rear floor to secure moto & bikes, custom front seats to match the addition of the 3rd bucket seat, Isotherm stainless fridge built into a custom cabinet withe butcher block top, extra 100amp Lithium battery, 150watt solar panel, 2000 water inverter, lighting and control switches everywhere, Viair heavy duty air compressor, Fiamma awning, after market back up camera & stereo system, custom American Van Works window covers, custom AC ducting in rear working off a factory rear AC unity, and the list goes on. I’m sure I forgot some stuff and can answer any questions you may have. This is the 10th van I’ve had built & owned. Not my first rodeo. I spent nearly a year having this van built & it currently has 14k miles. $149k obo

Thank you for your interest,
Brian

I'd highlight some of the features better, along with adding more in-depth pictures of the mechanical upgrades, because right now your touching used Earth Roamer territory with that asking price.. Also id state if there are any warranties still in place. It may help the sale to take the price out of the title, and just keep it in the ad wording. It makes people think your trying to get $155k for a used SMB from reading the title.. GLWS

Thank you for the feedback as this is the first time I've ever advertised any of my vans through Expedition Portal. I clicked on "edit thread", but it only allows me to edit the title and not the main body of the ad.

The van still has approximately 22kmiles & 15months left on the factory GMC warranty. The Quigley system is under this same warranty. I would have to check with GMC if a extended warranty beyond the standard one can still be purchased. Jonathan at Sportsmobile West, Jermey at Weldtec Designs & Mark at American Van Works (all owners) stand behind their work, so unless it was something done because of user error or caused by an abnormal circumstance I am confident they would back their work.

Some of the last couple GMC Diesel Quigley Sportsmobile vans that Jessup had built and sold went in the 150k range. They did have a water system (which wouldn't be difficult to add) which mine does not, I have close to 30k in suspension, bumpers, rock sliders, light bars, wheels, etc. all done from Weldtec that take this van to the next level like no other.

Happy to provide any additional info.

Brian, you should easily be able to edit the body of your text/copy. Click edit below your post, then your text/copy will show up in the box, and you edit it directly there.

The others that Jessup built and sold for $150k, were those brand new 0mi vans, or used vans with miles on them?

Brian- I was talking with Jeremy this week about basically the same van. Can you get 2 motos in the back of yours? The height is a ********** when loading and unloading (I know) but my thinking was the Penthouse makes it easier if you slide the bed to the front with the top up. I was basically just looking to seat 4 (maybe have 2 passenger ride in a side sofa up front. But carry 2 bikes inside is the priority and have the top as the only bed.
That van is the one Jeremy told me about.
If I may ask. Reason for sale?

I can't afford this but if you're Brian Lopes of mountain biking fame, that's just ************** cool to see you on Expo. I've enjoyed footage of your riding for many years.

Good luck with sale!

I bet he would autograph the van if you found a way to afford the purchase.

Sadly I only have two kidneys/will likely need both. I also am only of average appearance so sperm donor is out. I tried to do a webcam show once and evidently don't have impressive enough features.

So, all options for 150k are kinda out. Sadly.

I think we all want to know...how's it ride?? I haven't seen a real write up/review of the Weldtec coilover system yet. I'd have to imagine that the coilover IFS would be a selling point over a solid axle to the right folks.
