This right here. I went with the trail premium, however the old lady wanted all the creature comforts of a limited. If Toyota made a limited with the 4wd system of the trail premium we would have bought that instead. Like a LC Lite as you put it.

Toyota does make a Limited with the 4wd system of the Trail Premium, it's called the GX460.

Even when you build up the 4Runner, there's some compromise. You can't retrofit the smart key into yours and I can't retrofit MTS, KDSS, or crawl control into mine. The smart key is what swayed me though. If I was buying the current model year I'd go with the Trail since they castrated the Limited when they took away 4Lo (if that's true).

I'm sure they do, but the original comparison is between the stock vehicles.
