2017 Dodge Ram 2500 isolator help for a home battery

I've looked through post, and forgive me for my rookie status, but I haven't found the answer I was looking for.

To give you a little background, I'm planning a road trip from South Carolina to Montana for July 5 through the 25th. Not sure where my journey takes me at this point, but the destination is the Maddison River on July 11th. I have an ARE cap and will be sleeping in the bed. I have a Dometic CFX28 fridge and a fan that will draw 2.6 amps on high. I have an ALL pro 80wt, foldable, solar pannel that I hope will extend my 120 amp hour deep cycle battery in a Minnkota smart battery box , but I intend to charge it on the road between destinations. This brings me to my question.

The dodge ram 2500 diesel has a dual battery system for the truck. What kind of isolator should I get that would best suit a (third battery for a home battery)120 amp hour, deep cycle for charging on the road?

Thanks in advance for the help and forgive the rookie status.

Verkstad,

Thanks for the link and reassurance. What a great tread! I've read over it before, but just wanted to make sure I had the right parts for for the dodge to keep from draining either of the two batteries in the diesel. I've just ordered the parts based off those recommendations.

I'f I understand it correctly, I should only have to link the isolator to one of the two existing batteries in the truck and make sure I have an 80 amp breaker for between each connection to the isolator.

Thanks again for the help!
