Thought some folks might be interested in this. NO RESERVE. Pretty rare to see that on BaT for a vehicle of this caliber. Wonder what it will go for??!?!

Seems a huge risk to list at no reserve but maybe this current/second owner got it for a good price. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if it got close to $200K.

I think it's going to go for a lot more than $200k. Probably closer to $300k. Especially with Post Malone just accepting delivery on an earthroamer. Some rich guy is gonna see this on BaT and buy it. I actually think no reserve is smart in this case.

I love my Maxtrax but doesn't it seems a bit ambitious given the weight of this vehicle?

:)

BAT reserve doesn't mean anything if BAT doesn't do anything to enforce it. I've read many stories about how items are sold and seller backs out. They get banned under that username.

I am not sure an auction ‘reserve’ means what you think it does.

I took it to mean the auction is listed as "no reserve" but the seller backs out if the winning bid doesn't meet his expectation. Sleazy but maybe not illegal.

Yes it's true, BaT is not really a legally enforceable site. Sellers can back out of auctions if they don't like the price they get, and there's really no recourse. They get banned from the site forever.

But how hard is it to make a new account?

I believe sellers need to send their drivers license or other forms of ID to BaT, so I would be difficult for someone to re-sell on the site after being banned. But they could always use their wife's account or friend's account I suppose.

The seller of this particular auction is legit. A regular on BAT. No way he will back out. Look at his selling history. Member since 2009 and has sold over 2000 cars. He has 10 active auctions at the moment.

Don’t try to use facts and logic to break up a conspiracy. It’s annoying to some.

I don’t think this seller would risk loosing an account with that level of credibility, for sure a top five seller on BaT.
