It is only archery right now. They may have been target shooting or shooting at coyotes, but really with the weather the way it is, we probably should only be shooting at improved ranges. Could have been poachers too.

Were the muleys you saw bucks or does? We saw a ton of does but only one buck and he was waaaaaaaaaay far away
They were all does. Little ones too. I have a pic of one of their butts haha. She ran down the trail as I turned a corner and then pranced off and I got the tail end of the event

Springs look meaty! I went with rock auto 4 leaf spring pack for my 2012 truck. Probably doesn't ride as well off road as the raptor leafs from deaver but i'm mostly towing the boat on road, much improved for that.

I spent the whole weekend staring at them in the garage as I walk out with the kids, stroller and diaper bags. I swear they were just staring at me laughing at me.

They'll be on soon enough. I am still waiting on some more parts
I'm looking forward to hearing how they change the ride. I have a pretty similar truck to yours.

Finally getting parts installed. Deavers and RPG shackles have completely changed the rear end for the better.

Also got the ICON UCAs installed. There was an entire dilemma with the RPG Tie Rods but I got it corrected and will have someone install them for me.

Welp. Those of you who follow me on IG already know but had a pretty major issue in the middle of the desert this weekend. Thanks to cheap plastic parts, I lost all my coolant a few miles down a wash.

The plastic connector components of the heater hose were brittle and broke in numerous spots. Luckily one of the guys who came with was a ford mechanic for a while so was able to Jerry rig something to get me back to the road after a long detour to the “parts store” near ocotillo wells.

Once I got back to the road it happened again and this time around there was no Jerry rigging it. Another buddy was stoked he could finally use his ARB tow strap so pulled me a few miles to the Iron Door bar where I called a tow truck. $1000, 7 hours, and 3 tow trucks later I finally got it towed to my local dealer and of course with it being the holidays they are short staffed and won’t get to it until Thursday or Friday.

On the cool side, we all brought our first born kids who are all young so they had fun playing in the dirt and eating snacks while we tried to fix my truck. We did go to the wind caves and they thought that was cool. I sent my daughter home with one of my friends since 4th grade. My daughter and his son have been playing together since they were born so I felt ok doing it. When they got home wifey picked her up at their house so I could deal with the tow truck drivers. The goal was to introduce off-road to the kids and they got to play in the dirt the whole time so overall I’ll call it a win.

Also saw this dope rig

Another take away is that not everyone in the desert is willing to stop to see if you need help. I'd say 20 different trucks passed by, waved and kept going.

If someone had their hood up and had 2 dudes leaning into the engine bay I would 100% stop to see if they needed help.

Consider this; I'd probably pass on by because with 2 guys in the engine bay, I'd just be in the way, at my age I wouldn't be much help.
