Just because something is simple does not mean it is cheap. Everything looks very well done but in a simplistic elegant manner.

Lol!! That’s military grade paracord not a string! And that so-called broomstick is a piece of copper pipe thank you very much!!
all jokes aside. there are locking hinges underneath the galley table that hold it in place but the bit of copper pipe fits into a coupling that adds an extra bit of stability.
and there is a telescoping leg that extends to the ground for the outside table but I often use a piece of paracord for speed and simplicity.
