They bought up all the PLXs that were sitting for sale privately for a while and marked them up. Business 101, but doesn't leave a good taste for me.

I don't remember, sorry Herb. Can you PM the OP? Although it seems that the Jackson dealer has had the previous sellers of these PXL's edit/remove their original FS postings (on multiple platforms I've seen incl AEV classifieds) so we can't see the original/private sales price.

So the dealer is trying to 'cover their tracks' so people don't know how much they're marking things up? Wow, that's a ******** move.

I do see the Jackson dealer is marking down the prices a bit. I'm guessing their timing of trying to corner the market didn't work out so well with the increasing fuel prices.

I'll PM the OP.

Anybody else here in the Jackson area?

And yes - doesn't seem like those PXLs or power wagons are moving at all. Glad to see their speculation punished. But I still need a truck :-(

You won't want to see what one of their PXL's was selling for private party before;

really, that’s pretty fair. The dealer has that unit advertised in AEV Facebook groups at $89,500. So that’s only $2k more than the last private party had it listed for 6 months ago. As a dealer, they do a used car reconditioning- change fluids, clean it up, safety check, etc…

And being a dealer,it’s easier for a perspective buyer to finance it and feel a bit safer wiring tons of money to.

They likely paid less than the 87,500the previous seller was asking. Probably because they made it an easier transaction than dealing with an individual. But they’d probably take less than the 89,500 they are asking.

Ultimately, I think their price is fair and it’s fair to make a few thousand bucks on em. I’m glad there’s a dealer out there making it easy to find and transact on these things.
