2018 F250/350 differences?

This is for a Super Cab long bed 4WD 6.2 gas.

Anyone know what the differences are? Is it just the secondary overload springs? I see they are standard on the F350, but an option on the F250 if you order the camper package.

The drivetrain is the same, but can't find any information if the differentials are the same or not.

you get the diesel transmission, helper springs in the rear and the rear axle is upgraded from the Sterling 10.5 to the Dana M275. Thats really it.

Thanks guys.

Noticed the 350 was several thousand more, and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from....trans and rear end makes sense.

Does the f350 have low tire pressure warning light or just a tire pressure monitor? The ram trucks 3500on up have just a tire pressure monitor, not a nagging low pressure warning light.

On the 2017 models, the difference in price was $1,180. IMO, worth every penny for the diesel trans and the higher capacity rear end.

Looks to be about $1170 on the website builder, but what is on the dealer lots is anywhere from $3-6K. At least what I am finding.

I bought a "work" truck, right off the lot, from the commercial sales side of a large dealer. It's a 2017 F350 crew cab long bed, 4x4, 6.2 gas, and XL trim. It does have cloth seats (base XL is vinyl), power group, value package, brake controller, backup cam, locking rear, skid plates, block heater, plow package, Sync, and upfitter switches. I could have bought the same thing in an F250 for the $1170 difference.

It is how they are optioned out is what causing the difference of what they have in current inventory. I don't need much other than power windows. As even the bare bones package isn't all that "bare bones" anymore. They come with more options than I know what to do with.

Surprisingly it is the smaller dealers that have the better prices in my area. Have 6 dealers within an hour drive, 5 of them are within 1/2 hour or shorter.

A F150 with the heavy payload package would probably work for what I need it to do, but they are about the same price as a F250. The 1/2 ton would be close to its' limits, looking to pull a 8-9000 lbs trailer (loaded) where the 3/4 will have a bit more wiggle room and a little overkill.

bare in mind that aftermarket ring and pinion sets for the M275 rear axle in the F350's are pretty rare. If you're planning on bigger tires and wanting to regear, the F250 is a better setup.

Thanks for the heads up.

Leveling kit and 35's is probably all I'll do, if anything at all. Nothing too-too crazy as it won't be offroaded that hard, and mainly used as a base camp. TT is to keep momma happy. Need a 8' bed for the dirt bikes, have either a Callen or a Tradesman shell built for the bikes like the pictures I attached, found on ADV Rider. Thought of doing a toyhauler, but she won't put up with the gas smell from the scooters, that and it keeps all the filth away from the living area. Keeps it isolated to the back of the truck. I can just hose it out when it gets too unbearable.

same on the fords. actual monitor on 250s and everything else just gets a low pressure warning, not sure what the threshold is though.

Ive been told that the threshold for my 2011 Super duty is 65PSI

Im rolling on 35's. Empty I run less than 40 PSI.

Naggin' light on....

Ive been told that dealers can actually change that setting, but I've yet to find a dealer that will do it for me.
