Gotcha. Just transfer over the flatbed and camper to the new rig? Think you'll stick with Ram or look at something else?

Got my beater home last night. She's FAR from perfect, has dents and dings, a cracked windshield, a hole in the tailgate from a forklift, and has a few issues to address. But, she has good bones, no major body rust, and is exactly what I wanted. Something to play around with and fix, while still being able to be reliable for daily use.

Just skip the 37's and go right to 40's. Really, it makes sense cause it'll be cheaper in the long run if the end goal is to run 40's anyway.

Unrelated, until your post I had completely forgotten that they offered the 5.7 on the power wagon. How does she feel overall compared to the 6.7?

I'm trying to hold fast! Lol

It actually feels fine. It's odd driving an automatic though. I find myself always reaching for the shifter when I get in, but I'll get used to it. It has plenty of power and gearing for me.

We are getting ready to head to Arkansas for a week in the Ozarks. Looking forward to a good break. But before we leave, I've been needing to swap this drag link out. Ended up going with a Synergy due to the bends as it was the closest to the and AEV. The AEV made it 6yrs and 80k miles, here's to another 6 or more hopefully!

I would be interested in hearing why you didn't just replace it with another AEV component? I am guessing the prices were similar.

The Synergy was definitely more in cost. It's just a much better design on the adjuster. AEV uses the OEM Ram adjustment which has been recalled, including mine which AEV recommend the Ram fix which was welding the adjustment and the adjustment nuts together, which IMO is NOT a fix as it then makes it a non-adjustable drag link.

Also these rod ends are much beefier, and I can now only replace ends as needed. The bar itself is a lifetime product. Not an option with AEV. The bar just has more ingenuity and strength built in, as well as thought for future maintenance and replacement cost.

Notice how I didn't mention 40's......

I'd likely put one on my hemi before this truck. It's kind of useless with the high flow air flap in the airbox. It's not really a sealed setup like the hemi would be. I never expect to be in water 4ft deep either, and that's about where the box is currently. I also keep a replacement filter in my boxes if ever needed.
