We took a back road from Kanab area to Escalante on this trip.

Went to check out these underground coal fires. These are the vents for the smoke. Reminds me of my days long ago of walking around the streets of Britain. Loved it.

Ok. I deleted the swing arms on my rear bumper.

The spare tire and jerry cans stuck out too far. Hooking up a trailer was a pain in the but. So was towing.

Parking sucked because I couldn’t fit anywhere and couldn’t see with the rear camera. The parking sensors also went nuts anytime I put it in reverse as wel

I like the rest of the bumper and I think it’s well made for what it is.

I got the spare to fit under the back in the stock location as well. It is a worn out 35” tire. But it would be just fine for getting home. Plenty of tread left with about 30% left. If I have to fight getting it out, I can reach the valve stem and let some air out. I have an air compressor on board.

would you mind sharing what road you took from Kanab to Escalante? I love the area down there and always looking to venture around. That looks like fun times.

I believe it's called smokey mountain road. When I get a chance I'll look on my map again.

Looking at the map, I think that is it. Otherwise known as BLM 300. Where did you go in from? Big Water?
Any technical sections? Looks like fairly well graded dirt road.

Coming out got a bit rough. It was easy for the first 20 miles.

Then coming out of a canyon I had to slow down.
