Saw the video. Came to no conclusive decision... I just wish there was more first hand data on some forums.
I’ve seen many complaints about the carlis which has me second guessing. Even though I know it happens with every product, it’s just the descrepency in price that has me thinking about it.

I would pay more to have rebuildable/replaceable over lifetime joints , If it meant more 100% performance after a simple rebuild.

No personal experience with any of the big 3, but I’ll be going with Dynatrac when the time comes. No offense to Carli, but I have a hard time believing that any component, especially one subject to as much abuse as ball joints, could possibly be a lifetime component. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t, but I’d hate to gamble $800+ knowing that the Dynatracs have been proven across a slew of applications and are rebuildable on the vehicle when they inevitably wear out.

I dread the fact that i can call any speed and truck shop around here, and not one would start with any three of these as recommendations.

For how dense south Florida is, and how many die hard overlanders/offroaders are actually around, it sucks that there isn't a true source of knowledge and reliable servicing.
Ive had my fair share of shop issues.
ball joints and welding on a truss should be simple, but i have not a clue of a shop that can do both, unless i go to high performance sports car shops, who have the techs, but the time aint cheap.

Welding it should be pretty straight forward, drive up here to Illinois and I’ll get it done for you! Mabytry a local welding shop.

If you drive up to south eastern Alabama (Dothan) there are two shops that could do both without any issue. Motobilt and Undercover fabworks.

anyone else have recommendations on additional parts and reinforcements i should address while my calipers, rotors, and knuckles come apart? Alot of labor hours i could save down the road if i decide to do rotors and calipers now as well as any axle shaft or u-joint upgrades...

ball joints and truss will be completed for sure.

How’s about some RCV axle shafts? No more worries about busting a U-joint!

As far as brakes go, I have EBC sport rotors and orange stuff pads up front. It was a solid upgrade, especially if you tow or haul. Less bite than yellowstuff pads, but less dust and more life. Would do it again.

You need some free spin hubs!

i definitely prefer the total in cab control over my lockers. If 4wd is quickly necessary but the hubs are unlocked you have to exit the cab. I do appreciate the beef of free spins and may heavily think about the replacement and upgrade at this time....why take the hubs apart and not upgrade.

RCV shafts seem like overkill at this point. truck is not too heavy, and the stock U joints are plenty tough for my use right now with stock power and not much rock crawling, i dont see myself busting an oem ujoint during its useful life.
Dont get me wrong, id love them, but that 2K would go towards complete brake system or my Coms install

The stock 1550 u joints are fine unless you are doing extreme stuff with very large tires. I hate unit bearings so free spin kit was a no brainer for me, when I get or am going in nasty areas I just leave them locked.

How do you like the muffler replacement? I have a 14' 5.7 2500 and have been looking into replacements. It's too quiet and boring stock but I also dont want loud and obnoxious. And I've read deleting the resonator opens up a whole case of drone. But ... that's YouTube. Very curious what your thoughts are. Killer truck!

Coming from my straight piped IDIT, I absolutely LOVE my totally silent and boring Power Wagon. Maybe I'm getting old.
