2019 Ram 2500 or 2020 Ford F-250???

I've owned all kinds of trucks... I'd say at least 10. Dodge, chevy, Ford, Nissan and a Mazda even.

Let me say... in my opinion, there is nothing even close to this generation of the Ford's. I have a 2016 F150 and the body and chassis are simply fantastic. Best truck ever made. Dodge and Chevy dont compare (and honestly, they know it). Up here where I live, Ram's sell for about 10k less than Ford's when they are similarly equipped. The super duty's are even nicer than my F150, I drove one for a week on rental and it is fantastic.

I am probably going to trade my 2016 in for a 2020 F350 with the new 7.3L. I may wait until 2021 to do it and wait for any potential kinks to be worked out, although honestly I doubt there will be any because Ford has really got their act together.

The F 250 is a good truck, but the interior of the ram is by far superior to GM and ford. Couple that with a cummins 6.7, and it's ram all the way for me.

That is exactly what I was looking at. Pin stripes add character, but I like the idea of the linex armor. I do not like the shiny metallic look of most paint. I want a non reflective paint in a nice earthy tone.

Probably very similar chemistry to Upol Raptor.
Its a urethane coating that is also tintable.

Knowing the typical cost of LineX, Ill stick to a DIY Raptor.

Agreed. My 2014 Laramie interior is nicer than the current Super Duty Lariats. The new interior of the Rams blows the Fords away. The GM trucks are way behind.

I wouldn’t say that the RAM interior “blows away” the Ford, but I do agree that it is the best at the moment. Both Ford and RAM blow away the GM, that is for certain.

I guess i just like the luxury slant of the Ram more than the sporty slant of the Ford. Totally agree that they both leave the Gm trucks so far behind it isn't funny.

I thought the Ram dash and buttons still looked too ''Amercan'' for me. I like the Japanese-like buttons in the Ford better.

What exactly do you like better about the Ram interior?

Ergonomically I feel like the RAM is laid out better, their center console has a lot more going for it as well.

For me the Ford looks better in regards to the exterior, but the RAM definitely rides better with the rear coils on the 2500. The RAM feels more cozy but I think it's due to the fact that it has less interior room, most notably in the head room and width areas. I wouldn't say that the RAM feels cramped but the Ford definitely has a more roomy feel to it, especially in the back seat. I don't care about that all that much as I don't plan on riding in the back lol. Overall I guess I would some it up to say that the Ford feels and rides more like a truck and the RAM feels more like a luxury SUV. This comparison is mostly in regards to the cabin/interior on the higher end trims, they both feel work grade on the lower trims.

That's a good comparison. I hate the feel of Japanese interiors. They just feel cheap to me. Cluttered, awful switch feel, and plasticky. Ram/Chrysler took a lot of cues from Mercedes when that partnership was around and those stuck. Even the way the plastic parts feel is more high end to me. I like that my $70-80,000 truck is just as nice inside as a $75,000 German luxury car. I also like that when you compare Laramie to Lariat, the Laramie is significantly better equipped when it comes to the actual surface treatment of the interior: leather coverings, woodgrain, etc.

I agree the 2017+ Super Duties with the 6.2 are fantastic. I have owned a lot of trucks across all brands and this is by far the best I've had; excellent power and with 33's, crew cab 4x4, long bed I average 16mpg, which is 1 mpg off of my stock 2015 4Runner Trial. LOL, amazing.
We used a fleet of Ford 6.2s in West Texas, and it's insane the amount of abuse these trucks took, and many had over 250k miles with thousands of idle hours with no issues. I am a believer.

Now, if I could only stop thinking of my same truck, but with a 7.3 and a 10spd....

I don’t feel like Ford’s interior feels Japanese at all. Large knobs, big handles. Feels American to me. Which I like quite a bit. Base model Ram felt really cheap to me. I’m sure the upper trims are very good.

So not that my opinion matters, but I run six dealerships, fixed ops. Two Ford, Two Dodge/Ram/Jeep/Chrysler a Mazda, Hyundai and Genesis. Hands down, the Ford's interior and chassis is so much better in the durability department, Ram is not even close. The interioir might look better, but it falls apart like a cheap suit, and the electronics are crap. I think the Ford with the new 7.3 gas is going to be a game changer.

I should have been more specific. These type of buttons/knobs:

Huge step up from my '15 Ford. And the turn signal stalk is old fashioned again, they got rid of the awful electronic stalk. Only complaint on the 17+, the cruise control +/- and cancel/resume buttons need some brail added. A bump, depression, anything. Likely I'll get used to it though.
