2020 Bronco estimated Approach and Departure Angles

An suv Ranger would just be a 4runner. Ford ain't gonna survive in that market. And suv's are getting killed by lil' crew cab trucks.

I'm betting on solid axles, big wheel wells for easy 35" upgrade, just one engine choice, and possibly...............manual hubs. I expect quirkiness. Something for hipsters that don't want to look so fruity in a Honda Fit anymore. (like the Ducati Scrambler tried to market to)

The new Jeeps have piss poor driver ergo's. I hate driving them. I miss my Yj, tons of leg room. Jeep has a weak spot, now's a good time to take a chunk out of Jeeps hardcore quirky market segment.
Probably more like this with different sheetmetal, maybe a raptor-esque version later like trophy mentioned.

Also, regarding it being a wrangler competitor: it may not be initially, but it will be eventually. You’ll see what I mean by that at release.

You are such a tease. If I didn't enjoy and respect your current and previous builds, I'd call you a troll.

Any idea when official pics/info will be released to the public?

I knew I would be disappointed because I want it to have a straight axle up front and I just don't see that happening. The boxy design is a plus and should fair well in the looks department with the Bronco loyalists.

I think not. They've confirmed that it does not share sheetmetal with the Everest above, that it is true body on frame and 4 wheel drive. I agree it won't get a stick axle up front but I don't think it will matter for capability.

As I said before, I'd be happy with the Everest for my needs (body on frame, 4wd, torsen rear end, tows well, comfy and capable) but an Everest wouldn't be the Jeep fighter they keep saying they want. I think you'll see something that looks like a cross between the last FJ and the original Bronco. I think there will be 4 doors initially with a 2 door model coming later. I also wouldn't be surprised to see removable tops in the near future but I don't think the first launch will have them.

Except the sheetmetal the Everest in the video is all those things. If the sheetmetal was different you could do larger tires, it has a e-locker in the rear solid axle.

I'm betting this will be a SUV version of the Ranger platform.

Likely one engine option to start (the same ecoboost that the Ranger will get). Possibly other engine options later on down the road.

I wouldn't hold my breath for this thing to be a Jeep-fighter. I think it will be a 4runner-fighter....for the longest time, Ford has tried to compare its Explorer to the 4runner, which is laughable.

Another friend who is a lot closer to this project than I am also hinted at something like this about six months ago too. He was cryptic but something like an IFS front end but easily configurable for a solid axle swap or something. I'm not surprised that GAS has seen something given their involvement with Ford.

When is the reveal of this thing suppose to be?!? I'm dying to finally see it, but I just hope they don't do that whole thing where the manufacture teases us with leaked "spy shots" for months before the real reveal.

Solid axles don't have to ride terrible.

Don't blame the axle for piss poor engineering in '70 to '90 trucks and Suv's. Soft springs and high quality dampers go a long way. Don't let dodge, Ford, or Jeep ruin it either. None of those have ever seen a decent shock.

When we're just trying to get near the ride of lame stock ifs with measly amounts of travel, it's possible. OEM ifs ain't exactly a desert runner or anything.
