I think you have to remember to put it in tow/haul or that 1-3 shift just bogs more.
The 1-3 thing is probably fine in an empty truck, but a light ton in the box is right at the spot where normal mode is too slushy and tow/haul is still a little too aggressive

I do very much like that it will stay in tow haul mode for a few key cycles before asking if you still want tow haul mode. It'd be better if it didn't ask. It doesn't ask if I still want defrost. It just goes to defrost.

Eco mode must have been an inside joke. It's nothing but laughable. It'll hit 9th and bog around 25mph.

Wasn't looking to scare anyone with the PS pump squeal. It's just something I noticed on most all of them. It's not like the GM designer who decided all PS hoses should leak early and often.

Yep. Power steering pumps left the F150s in 2015.

4.10 is probably going to be the ratio.

4.27 or 4.33 would be a nice intermediate before going to 4.56 or 4.88

I can get to an ORV park in 20 minutes if I want to drive back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back and forth on the same half mile of whoops all day long. So that's cool at least.

That sounds terrible! 20 minutes gets me to some pretty good off-roading. 1hr definitely gets me out of cell phone coverage and decently away from civilization. One of the perks of the southwest I guess. Unfortunately, we may be moving east of the Mississippi this summer so I assume we’ll be limited to off-road parks at that point. Definitely not looking forward to that part.

Yep. Power steering pumps left the F150s in 2015.

PS pumps started leaving the f150 in 2011. My 2012 f150 had electric power steering. Never any squealing, even down to -25°F. No issues with it other than I felt it was a little too quick which made the truck feel twitchy. Only the 6.2L v8’s had hydraulic PS in the 2011-14 F150’s.
