2021 Ford F250 Tremor Adventure Rig

I have a 2020 Tremor and the Carli Backcountry Kit on order. Should be here in a few weeks. I also have the exact same wheel/tire size combo As that truck. 37”x12.5 Ridge Grapplers, 17” wheels with +0 backspace. Only difference is the wheel brands. They have innov8 and I have methods.

My wheels and tires are already installed. I have a build thread in this section but I haven’t updated it for a while, need to.

That's awesome. I'm researching wheels tonight. I want to do the Black Rhino Armory or Arsenal. Need to figure out if they'll work.

I'm super excited for you, and also quite a bit jealous. The tremor in the cjc video is the exact truck I want, except in king ranch trim. It'll probably be 2-3 years before it dips into my price range.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how your truck looks with the norweld tray. I have a flatbed on my 1978 f150, and its suuuper convenient to be able to access things from the sides. With the tremor trucks being so nice looking stock, I'm curious how the look will be affected. In comparison, I LOVE the look of the AEV Ram flatbed trucks.

I have an F350 on order with the 7.3 and FX4 package. Can I ask what the advantage is of starting with the Tremor package when replacing wheels and suspension? Only features I can think of are the crawl mode and electronic locking front differential?

FYI, I’m front is lsd, no locker there.

I'm eager to see it with the flatbed, too. I'm a little nervous as it is quite a looker with the factory bed but a slide-in camper wasn't an option for us. I'm sure it'll look rad once the camper is installed, though.

Off-road modes, trail control, limited slip front diff, increased water fording capability due to relocated breather tube, shorter air dam, softer stabilizer bar and more durable running boards that tuck up and out of the way more than non-Tremor models. Plus, I'll run it stock for probably close to a year before I'll be able to swap out all the suspension, tires and wheels so the extra lift, clearance and bigger, more aggressive tires are necessary during our travels.

So far how do you like the 7.3 gas? I’ve heard with the 10 speed the mpg is actually decent for such a big truck.

We've only got about 450 miles on it so far, most of which is around town. One quick trip to Grand Junction and back. Mileage around town is around 9, got about 12 on highway. Not great, but...it's a big motor in a big truck. I expect it to improve once the motor's broken in but not by much. I have a friend with the same truck and he's gotten as high as 19 but averages around 14 highway. As far as power, it's a beast and the sound is intoxicating but it's also dead quiet when you're just cruising.

Makes sense. I don't plan on going down trails any more extreme than dirt roads so I went with FX4 figuring i could modify later if I changed my mind. Also, I think the Tremor gets 1-2 mpg less than regular super duty, (not 100% sure but saw in a tremor forum. Probably also only applies to gasoline engines).

Probably true. Sits higher and has much larger tires. We tend to find ourselves in some tough spots so definitely need all the offroad capability we can get.

I cringe when I hear those numbers, but I averaged 14 mpg's in my 2005 f250 with a diesel, and diesel was a buck a gallon more expensive at the time. So, 12 to 14 doesn't sound so bad at all.

What kind of weight in the truck during those trips?
Was that loaded or empty?
