The Jeep has only 5,000 miles and is the main reason why I am having to sell it. We just do not have the time to enjoy the Jeep so it needs to go to someone that can actually have fun with it. The Jeep has most all the basics done to it and ready for any personalized touches to make it work for your wants and adventures. Asking $75,000 and the Jeep was $65,000 when purchased since it was pretty much fully loaded, but on top of that it has an extended warranty for 7 years/100,000 miles so it is covered for MANY more miles and LoJack with added $30,000 warranty if not recovered or destroyed.
The idea around the build was to make a rig that was capable of almost unlimited time in the wilderness with an off road trailer. The hybrid setup gives extra torque when pulling up a grade and taking off from a stop plus saves brakes on steep declines. I removed the noise makers so it is as silent as possible when only using the battery with the added bonus of not worrying about hydro locking the engine in a water crossing if it was deeper than expected. The trailer was to give a platform to attach additional solar panels and batteries that could be used to charge the Jeep which would then supply the almost unlimited cooking with induction stove, heat, A/C (lifesaving when in the desert), running the fridge/freezer (with remote power switch), lights and the ability to keep moving without gas. I have three unused matching wheels and 35" tires for the trailer or as spares. The other want was to be able to fit the Jeep inside the garage with a roof top tent attached. That was accomplished with a Go Fast Camper, which is only six inches tall and lightweight, with the Rhino Rack Backbone System for support and custom aluminum spacers to keep the tent as low as possible. The roof of the Jeep is not flat so the tent is just above the center of the roof. It has always been garaged and located in San Diego. The tent holds inflatable pillows, inflatable bedding, blanket and the ladder so it does not need to be stored other places.
All the electrical runs are with automotive grade wire and connectors which have been completely wrapped with factory style electrical tape. The tape keeps the wires organized, reduces vibration, helps longevity and makes it indistinguishable from factory wiring. Automotive grade wire connectors have been installed to make removal or repairs easier. The remaining permanent connectors were made with built-in heat shrink and solder to give the most dependable connection possible even through excessive vibration. There is a 4 cell prism 100 amp/hour lithium battery in the back that supplies the Engel fridge/freezer, aux 12 volt plug, USB chargers, overhead lights, tent lights, tent USBs, tent aux for the electric blanket, and 600 watt inverter. The battery is charged with the three solar panels on top of the tent producing over 300 watts, the jeep when driving and/or a portable Bluetti solar panel that attaches to a remote connection on the rear bumper to get solar charging even if parked in the shade without running wires through a door.
The Jeep is equipped with Road Armor bumpers, fenders and wheel liners with a 4 gallon gas can behind spare tire. The wheel liners have been Line X protected. The front bumper has a Warn 12,000lb winch with upgrades. The added lights are Baja Design and all custom brackets were made out of stainless steel with corresponding stainless, titanium or 316 stainless ARP bolts where possible.
The HAM radios have had the MARS Mod performed and the main radio has a compact antenna located inside the Jeep to keep from getting damaged and a clean look.
There is an ARB twin motor air compressor under the drivers seat with custom setup to fill 2-3 tires on each side of the Jeep simultaneously with connections on the passenger side seat for the other side of the Jeep.
The lift is MetalCloak bars painted black with 2.5 ton aluminum steering components and steering box reinforcement. The rock sliders are White Knuckle with their upgraded tubing.
The back has a custom built drawer with a stainless topped slide out tabletop. The Bluetti solar generator can be charged by the installed battery and can be used to run the induction cooktop and lights remotely so you are not tied to the Jeep. Includes a super compact kitchen that has everything you need to make a meal with insulated plates to keep the food warm. The fridge slides out and tilts down to make loading and unloading easier. The back has two trash cans that does not block the rear camera that is on a special mount, along with the remoted license plate to keep it clean and clear. The interior holds a bathroom bag, foldable toilet, shower setup (never used), full sized folding fishing pole and gear, axes and first aid kit.
There is so much more into this Jeep and took many man hours to accomplish and research to get it as perfect of a setup as possible. I did not keep a tab on the price of parts, since i did not want to know, but I'm sure to redo this Jeep and paying someone it would have be over $100K. It has been on a couple of local trips and worked flawlessly. Pictures (only allows 10 so I can email more if interested) and video will help capture more details.
