I admire the “plastic bin“ approach to internal storage space. Neat & organized.

Exceptionally well written and imaged offering. Good luck with your sale.

Found them!

Sorry just couldn't remember where I got the lights from.
Ninelitetrip: I can't seem to get the Amazon link to show up and work.

Just search this exact text in Amazon and they will show up:

THALASSA 3W 12V Dual Color Touch Ceiling Light, 12 Volt LED Lights for RV Interior, 12 Volt Ceiling Lights for Boat Interior (White & Red) D106MM

Very nice rig! Where did you source the beige fabric bins w/ the pockets on the side? Also as a big guy, I’m curious about how much space is behind the seats in the cab and how far back the seats can go?

GLWS!

Thanks. I like this way as I can have extra bins and depending on what I want to take on the trip I can just grab the bins with the stuff I want to bring and head out in minutes. Also it allows me to pack up the bins inside my house so its super easy to load the bins into the camper and head out.

Thanks. I got the fabric bins on Amazon along with the attachment method. I tried to attach links for another questions here and it would not work so not sure how to share the link via Expedition portal?

YES single cabs have more legroom than any other truck. I am very very tall also and struggle with 4 door trucks as the seats don't go far enough back for my legs. This is the only vehicle I have ever owned where I need to put the seat forward a bit to reach the pedals and I have a 36" inseam.

There is around 10" of room behind the lower part of the seat to the back wall when the seat is all the way back. It allows for the seat to recline a lot. Since the truck is around 6 foot wide inside it allows me to put a ton of stuff back there on my trips including my wingboarding foils (4 sets of foils) computer bag, spare warm clothes for quick access, a small day cooler for snacks on the road, tool box, two wingfoiling booms, my wingfoiling air pump, and a bunch of other things. It is a great place to stash stuff.

OEV Camp X- The toughest, lightest 4-season truck camper on the market

Purchased from the original owner early in 2024. He had only camped in it a few nights and kept it stored inside, so it was in brand-new condition.

2023 Ford F150 XLT FX4 Regular Cab Shortie w/ 5.0 L Coyote V8

Purchased new in late fall of 2023 this XLT, short wheel base (122.8”) naturally aspirated V8 engine (the infamous tried and true “Coyote”) monster was chosen to be the most reliable, highest payload, shortest full size truck in the US. The goal was to build an Overland rig that had all the comforts of a much larger RV in a very small, extremely nimble, and reliable package. The dream was to be small enough to get to places far beyond the reach of huge expedition vehicles and the long-wheel based swaying vanlifers without giving up on amenities.

2023 was the last year Ford would offer this short wheel base regular cab in the XLT FX4 package. So when I found this one late 2023 I jumped on it. The FX4 was important to me for the offroad modes and hill descent that you can’t get on the lower trim models.

Upgrades to the truck (valued over $15,000 total invested on truck)
  • RCI full aluminum skid plates including catalytic guard and steel differential skid plate
  • 2023 Ford F150 Raptor bead lock wheels (including spare)
  • Falken Wild Peak AT3W 285/75 R17 E rated tires (including spare)
  • 2.5” front level from Off Road Warehouse with alignment and cams
  • Airlift Load Lifter 5000 Ultimate with dual air lines plumbed to the rear license plate lower screw holes
  • Dee Zee aluminum side steps
  • Built Right Industries Molle panels in the truck bed (4, one with a Rotopax mount for 2 gallon water tank
  • Lariat leather seats
  • Xpel Ceramic XR UV/ radiant heat tint on all windows including windshield
  • Husky no drill wheel flares with integrated blinkers
  • Dash molle panel for phones/ GPS etc
  • Lariat grey front grille (Chrome delete)
  • XLT grey F150 emblems (Chrome delete)
  • Custom rock chip textured wrap protects bumpers and rocker panels running the full sides of the truck. Similar to Rhino liner but removable and more durable. (Bumpers are chrome under wrap)
  • Weather tech over the hump rubber floor mats
  • Mcgard wheel locks
  • Ford spare tire lock
Lighting from Diode Dynamics (over $4000 without install)
  • Diode Dynamics Elite Max headlights

  • Cabin and air filter changed at 15,000 miles
  • Tires rotated ever 5,000 miles with 5 tire/spare rotation

Could you post a few pics of the space behind the seats?
I can try to get some later today. It is the same on any F150 Regular cab. I have a buyer for just the camper but would love to sell both together if possible. Sent DM. If your serious let me know.
