Does anyone know if you can comfortably sleep four people in here? Obviously two people in the queen size bed, but is the dinette big enough to sleep two more people?

Mog, thanks for the information and video. Not sure why they didn’t make the dinette bed a little bit bigger to comfortably sleep four people-as many people have a family of four and after all, it is a crew cab? It seems like they would have had the room.

I appreciate you posting.

Good point.

I've seen some builders use a snap up 10" or 12" table at the end of each dinette seat (seat height). This expands the size, then use a joining board.

Everything is a trade off when you’re constructing something like this.

Have you ever been inside a pick up truck camper that is this narrow? If so, you’d see that, to make the bed any wider would mean you’d have to make the aisle narrower, and it would be very difficult for two people (or more) to get past each other when up and in the center aisle.

Some pick up truck campers are designed to stick out over the side of the truck significantly, to give more width to that side dinette/bed. But this camper was specifically designed to be more aerodynamic (and easier to use on narrow forest road) by not hanging over the side of the pick up bed.

And for what it’s worth, a 44 inch wide side dinette bed should be big enough for two kids. My wife and I have a professionally converted minivan that has been turned into a comfortable, simple small camper and the couch/bed is only 42 inches wide. It’s certainly a snug fit but still, we both enjoy camping in it.
