2024 F-350 aluminum bed

Looks good. Those boxes should seal up nicely. Glad I'm not the only bonehead to weld boxes together. The first thing I said when I got done with my bed is I should have brought a bought a brake 🤣

Looks great. How are you attaching it to the frame of the truck? Any pivots?
Thanks ITTOG,
One of the design consideration's was to keep the bed height as low as possible.
I framed it with 2x1/4 tube
I welded sleeves in the tube frame and used the 8ea stock bed bolts without any pivots

Good call. I started out tig on our bed. Turns out my control board was fried and they don't make them anymore. Bought a HTP push pull and never looked back.
Yes, the pulse arc makes for easier welding on lighter gauges.

Looks great - I am jealous of your craftsmanship skills. I am in the long-term planning stages for an aluminum subframe on a Super Duty, topped with a composite camper. A few questions:
- What is the deck height versus the original truck bed? It looks like you kept it very close to the stock height.
- The Super Duty does not have much upward rear suspension travel. How did you determine how high your wheel arches needed to be? I am curious if the wheel arches were eliminated, how much higher would the deck height need to be?

Looking forward yo your continued progress.
