This is live now on Bring a Trailer, closing on Tuesday, October 29, 2024

It's seriously over the top, short of building out a drawer system or kitchen, this thing is fully ready to go adventure today. Go bid! :)

I always wondered why people spend all this money then end up selling so quickly.

I think as "overlanding" has become more mainstream, it has attracted a lot of people that are "car guys" (or gals) first, and travelers second. They probably take just as much if not more more interest in building a rig with all the coolest parts than they do using it, though I'm sure it varies by person. Plus once you have $100k+ in a truck, you're tied to that high income job to keep paying for stuff, which means it's hard to take off weeks and go adventuring. I'm not one to tell anyone how to spend their money, there's room for everyone in the hobby, and I'm glad I get to ogle the super cool, high end builds, but let's not pretend that this rig would take you anywhere that a 2003 Tacoma wouldn't...

Money can buy time though- that’s what these folks need to realize.
I've come to the conclusion that humans are very highly prone to addiction, and there are many things to get addicted to rather than "substances"... like thoughts, feelings, ideas, beliefs. Always wanting "more" or "different". Apparently even outrage is addictive... who would have thought?

(y) Yep, if you want to be tuned into fantasy BS, at least make it a joyful fantasy for gawd's sake!

The real world is very fine though! If we can just notice and appreciate it... and not get wrapped up in the :poop: that only exists in human minds.
