2025 Opus OP15 Updates. Anyone have experience?

I'm still on my odyssey to find a rugged-ish camper for 2+2 family. I'd previously looked at Opus and Dweller and in searching again it appears Opus has refreshed the 2025 model with some pretty great updates. They appear pretty scarce at the moment so curious if anyone has seen one or had any hands on experience or info on the updates. The electric top and redesigned tire carrier and bed fold-out look pretty legit, along with standard lithium and solar. Thoughts other than it's Chinesium and your suspension will fail?

Do it for the 'gram
No experience with them, but they do pack quite a bit into a nice, small package.

I've never liked the amount of moving parts, and I'd opt for a proper hard camper vs. pop-up roof any day of the week, but outside of that they've got a lot going for them.

Hey CRYA!

My 2 cents after researching these same trailer options for over 6 months last year. I chose a new 2023 MDC XT 13 for 2 main reasons: MDC actively manages the quality control of their Chinese factory and I did not want a black tank.

I would recommend looking into the new MDC models.

Yes, I've been pondering the MDC 17 Family, but it's definitely bigger, and I prefer the bunk layout in the Opus, but I've never actually been in either one. Do we really believe MDC has a rep at the factory doing QC? I mean, it's a nice marketing blurb, but how would the consumer actually know this is their practice? Just playing devil's advocate.

Check out the video tours from MDC about their plant. Their staff is onsite. There has been multiple interviews with them and Princess Craft about the subject. Separating them from the Black Series of the World.

The Opus 15 and Dweller 15 (13's also) are the same unit, just refreshed. Opus must have picked up the rights to that.

Read through the OBI thread, it will give you a lot of insight, obviously some things have changed, but over all it should give you an idea of the units.

I've spent time in the Opus 13, one the local dealers has one. Very nice, lots up lay out tweaks that make it better in a lot of ways than the OBI unit. That said the OBI unit has some nicer items.

13 only items changes:
Interior stove and sink, just takes up space vs storage (13 only).
Storage change on the passenger side, more exterior storage, but takes away interior storage (13 only).

Better:
Cabs are a nicer wood.
AC is roof top
Kitchen lay out, and space next to kitchen storage (exterior).
Bar deck is much better.

Worse:
Regular rv door vs the OBI door.
Black tank vs cassette (this is a major thing IMHO, but the us market is used to black tanks).
Front storage/rock guards not nearly as nice as the big bin on the OBI.
For the 15' and maybe the 13' both; the dual rear tires and jerry can. Dual tires is heavy off the rear.

Over all Opus makes great rigs. I'm glad the 13 and 15 designs found a home with them, they are great trailers.
