215/85-16 questions

Automotive ADHD is fun!
And they're on... Initial impressions are good - I can definitely feel the difference in height, they are quiet and ride very smoothly. I'm gonna play with pressure. Factory is 41lbs and 28lbs, but for now I have these ones at 33 front and rear.

I tried to take before and after pictures as identically as possible, but it was cold and rainy so I didn't spend too much time on it. Before pictures are of the "identical to factory height but wider" 235/70-16:

Skinny and tall equate to almost nill cornering ability. I'm running 235/85's on a disco and the "drift" in a turn is considerable, granted thats with a mt not a geolander. My street tires on the defender are 285/75 geolanders and they are great. When I look @ the disco it looks like its on pizza cutter wheels already. FWIW I ran 255/85's on my 93 lwb with eas and occasionally would scrub lightly on the front of the plastic rocker cover but nothing that needed cutting
