255's and 3.73 gearing

I'am running the same tires (16" wheel) on my FJ with a AT and stock gearing, so our results should be close to each other. I lose about a mile per gallon on average with the KM2's compared to the 265 AT's I use during winter or long trips on pavement. As for power loss I can't tell much of a difference other than a small acceleration loss with the KM2's. I run them at about 40 psi and have good ride/wear pattern and they handle the load better IMO. Most of my driving is between 4-11K' elevation. If I was to regear I would most likely go with 4.56's, the 4.10's would not be enough of a difference for the cost to be worth doing.

Just to be clear, that wasn't meant as a dig on you, Andy. Just something that I've commonly seen.

Didn't think it was! Just wanted to clarify for the OP, you're right that is a common mistake.
