Changing registration to RV

I also changed mine to RV, thru AAA and saved $190 per yr, and if I need to get a large item I just hook up my trailer. It does seem ridiculess in Calif when most pick-ups are for personal driving not business. If you go to DMV for this change they make you jump thru loops.

I have a Dodge/Cummins 2500 2wd that I wouldn't give up for anything. It's an 03 so does NOT have cat or DPF, they still got good mileage.. I just drove a 1000 mile trip and averaged 26mpg (hand calc). I have a small camper top that stays on 100% of the time but I do not use it for camping. I have the AWD Astro I prefer for that. The truck does have 180k miles on it and has had no maintenance issues of any sort other than a water pump at 60k miles which is a 15 minute fix on an early Cummins.
If I were forced into something NEW, it would be gas unless I planned to tow very heavy trailers. No doubt about that. If forced out of this truck, I'd just start looking for another 03 even though the prices on them are going up instead of down.
