3.5 Air intake cover

I figured out what's different on pictures of the engine on other Montero's, Mines missing the Air Intake Cover on top of the engine. Besides cosmetic looks is this a needed item? Anyone got an extra?

Thanks off-roader, you are very helpful. I can live without it. The truck is for daily use, not show so I'm not concerned about some black plastic.

Are you asking about the scoop on the bonnet? If so its fitted to the turbo diesel versions, air intake for the inter cooler

Skids, unfortunately Mitsu never offered the TD engine in the Pajero in the US. Finding one on a street legal Montero would be like finding the proverbial pot o gold at the end of a rainbow.

Turbo Diesel be interesting, not sure how it would like the 30 below we get sometimes.

They like Canadian winters fine. Phil's (on here and 4x4wire) seems to do fine. Plus they seem to do fine in N. Europe as well.
