Great pictures. Love the quadcopter footage. What route did you take?

I can really see the advantages in going with a group of your friends like this. Apart from the company it must remove some of worry of travelling solo - always someone to watch out for you.

The pop-up camper looks just the tool in this terrain. Our hardside camper is a bit bulky and heavy for this really, which means travelling more slowly and taking great care.

Steve, we arrived in Africa at the port of Tangar and went over Fés and Zagora to the Erg Chigaga! We were 13 vehicles! Regarding security its good to join a big group, but its hard to to bring all under one roof... The FWC popup camper is perfect for the desert and the bumpy slopes!

At the end of the video it said the drone was RIP. What happened to it?

I ve flown behind a high rock. When the drone lost connection it try to fly back home and hit the rock 300m over the ground and fall down! :coffee:

We did the other way around, but sounds like a similar route. Didn't camp at all these places - just waypoints:

Tangier -> Marrakesh -> Ait Ben Haddou -> Zagora -> onto the sand somewhere south east of Tamegroute
-> Tafraoute Sidi Ali -> Ramlia -> Ouzina -> Erg Chebbi -> Erfoud -> Toudra Gorge -> Azrou -> Fes -> Volubilis -> Tangier

We were a bit short on time.

That's incredible. In the coming year I'm going to find an expedition-worthy truck to use while I live here in Germany. Maybe I'll ping you for ideas of good routes within EU? :)

your route is pretty similar to ours! I love Morocco, but getting there is hard! From my home nearly 3.000km...
