What/where are the factories? Do we know there location? I would be interested to find out if they mark the tires in a way depending on facilities. I would go back and look at my A/T's and let you know if we can find any markings. I believe they are still at the tire shop waiting to be picked up and go back to BFG for further testing on why they are falling apart.

I don't know there is more than one BFG factory producing tires for North America. I was just trying to figure out why the big spread in real world experiences amongst users of the same type of tire.

Some of us in North America love BFG, most of the assie's hate BFG. I am wondering now about QC like you said. Hopefully these KM-2's will stand up to the abuse and duty I will be giving them.

I'm interested in finding out about the plants. Would be cool to find some data and research.

I have km2's in the 315 flavor and they are def. loud. I had at's before and they are not good for the conditions out here in the northeast. I personaly hated them in mud and snow but i'm sure others will disagree. Just my opinion.

Interesting feedback. FWIW: The all surface performance of my GY MT/R Kevlar tires have been quite impressive. Actually they are the best overall tire I've run on this rig in the almost 6-years and 105k miles of using it on dirt, mud, sand, rock, deep snow, hard pack snow, ice and slush.

And oddly enough, they've actually gotten less noisy as they've worn. Typically its just the reverse with MT type tread tires.

They can be tough to balance though and it looks like, due to their softer compound than the prior MT/R version, I'm only going to get about 20,000 miles out of them. The plusses and the minuses. :)
