3Dog Camping RTT thoughts

Hey guys, relatively new here, but have been researching RTT's to almost the point of paralysis by analysis.
With that said, the 3Dog variety has the best looking add-on that i have found, i.e the add-on annex room, due to the full width coverage.

I have searched / scoured the internets looking for opinions / reviews, but haven't seen much. Any one have any personal experience or have seen one in person to provide some input?
Currently looking at the RTT11 w/ walled annex, this will give a 13.5 x 15.5 living area.

Opinions / thoughts on any of the models will be greatly appreciated though.

Hi Mitch:

I think this is my first response on Expedition Portal. I have a 3dog RTT that I bought about 8 months ago. I have it mounted on my trailer. It was the display model from the previous year and it's awesome. So, originally I was looking at the smaller one but the display model was the Rover, complete with the floor and walls. I'm not sure I needed the big Rover but the price was right. Upon reflection I think I could have gone with the smaller one and been just fine. That being said, when I go camping with my buds everyone has plenty of room for cots and stuff and it's real comfortable. Even though it was a display model the quality was awesome and it takes maybe 15min. to set up at a relaxed pace. The Rover is heavy though so make sure you take that into account.

There's an added bonus with 3Dog, in my opinion. I dealt with with a man named Gerald out of their Colorado location. 3Dog is an Australian company and I don't think they've been in the US that long. I do my research and while I don't think I'm a stickler for customer service, when it is good, it stands out. I really can't say enough about Gerald and the Colorado office. First, he spent a lot of time on the phone with me explaining the feature, etc. Second, he never said anything bad about the competitors (I respect that.) They're not inexpensive and so he mentioned the display model, emailed me pictures, and asked for my trailer measurements to make sure it would fit without alteration. When it was shipped the shipping company did a poor job and ripped the cover. Gerald did not have a grey cover in stock, which I wanted, so he special ordered it from Australia without any hesitation.

I realize that this post may sound a bit one sided on the positive side but looking back on the transaction, I really can't think of anything, besides the shipping company, that was negative. It's quality stuff and my experience with the company and the Colorado location was quality as well.

Thanks for the information.
Question, do you have the annex room option, looking at pictures, i can't tell if it comes with a floor or not.

Great tent! Overpriced in my opinion. Mostly due to the shipping from Australia. I know Gerald, great guy.

I opted for the CVT, more reasonably priced and came with the annex included. Add my 72" awning and screen room for the awning I was out the door for $1900 shipped. Prices may have climbed a tad since then but still in that ballpark.
