What rear springs are you 3rd gen 4 runner guys/girls running to compensate for all the weight in the back of your overlanding rigs?

my wore out, janky 3 inch lift mystery springs from P.O. are shot.

thanks

AJ, I have a 99 4runner that is built and heavy. It has a custom dual swing out rear bumper, custom storage / sleeping platform, sliders, roof rack and full set of skids. I have tried OME 890, 891 and now 861 coils. I love the flex they give and they carry the weight well. I would recommend them if you are carrying lots of weight.

Good luck

OME 891 with Daystar 1" spacers. Only weight I have are drawers and a fridge. They will sag after a couple of years, this is why I run the spacer

I originally used FJ80 springs from a Sonoran Steel 1.2 lift, but they were tool tall for my use. I now have a set of the shorter Toytech Superlift coils and like them.

I have been running the Sonoran Steel 1.2 FJ springs too. They were tall to begin with but have settled. Now with rear bumper, tire carrier, carrying 10gal of fuel and all the crap I have inside (before loading for a trip...), they're sagged down to the point where I only have an inch off the bump stops. Steve @ Sonoran recommended the 861s with that much weight, actually have them arriving today. May have that stinkbug look for a little while, but I'll overload it and get them to settle.
