3rd gen 4Runner extra rear window switch

I might be wrong but I thought I saw a thread somewhere on here detailing an "always on" rear window switch mounted in the back of a 3rd gen 4Runner. I have searched and googled but havent found anything.

This would be exceptionally helpful when camping in the back. If anyone has seen this tread and could point me in the right direction, or has any insight on the mater itself that would be great.

Thanks,

Josh

Did it. Works great. http://threeg4runners.freeforums.org/inside-hatch-release-t255.html read the last post on page one.

There is another link on my first post. He used the 12 volt to run the window. I tapped into the control wires before the orange control box. This way the switch is not carrying any current.

Works great.

NICE! Curious, why did you decide NOT to do a latch release?

EDIT!: Found page two explaining... I think a bike cable is a good idea, rigged to a door latch like on the front doors, and mounted flush with the rear door cover

If anyone figures out the rear latch release please post pics. I'm much more interested in this than being able to roll down the rear window.

Yeah that would be great too but if needed you can always open the hatch from the outside via the open window.
