4 Runner lift questions

Hey everyone,

I was looking for some guidance on lifting my 07 SR5 4 runner. I want to install the 3"/2" cornfed spacer lift (I would prefer to do the OME but dont have the cash). The real reason for the spacer lift is that the tires need to be replaced regardless. I would like to replace the tires with BFG AT's 285/70/17 or 285/75/16.

Which wheel size do you guys prefer?

Does anyone have experience with this lift?

Would I run into any serious rubbing if I chose the correct backspacing and off-set?

Will I still be able to fit in parking garages? (already trashed the rack on my fj-40 making this mistake)?

Thanks,

Brendan

Are you lifting just to fit larger tires? If so, consider doing a body lift instead of those suspension spacers. As for parking garages, I don't dare go into any under 7' tall.

I am lifting for larger tires. I would do a body lift, however i cannot find a body lift larger than 1.5". I would think that more of a lift would be needed to fit 285's

I have a 1" body lift from Roger Brown and cleared my 285/75/16 Goodyear MTRs. If you have a stock front bumper you may have to trim some of the bumper away if rubbing occurs when the wheels are stuffed or turning.

These links to other forums, not that you won't find excellent info here on ExPo, tend to focus on 4th Gen 4Runners in particular:
