Hmmm - interesting, but yet he spends a bit too much time with hyperbole and generalization for my taste . . . it's not fair to lump all greenies in one group, just as it's not fair to characterize all 4x4 enthusiasts as bud-swilling morons.

They threaten our land management agencies with law suits and they demand that access to our public lands be denied to the off-road community. There solution to the problem is to lock everyone out. I don't see them helping on the trail cleanups and I don't see them providing constructive input at the public land use meetings. From now on, I will not degrade the environmentalist label by applying it to the greenies. They do NOT deserve to be called such a thing."
Not fair at all. I have been very closely involved with many environmental groups, and I can think of one or two people - not whole groups - that want to see total lock out - it's just not true. Shutting down illegal roads? Yes. Totally shutting down public land? Not true. Not seeming to provide constructive input? Not always true. I see just as many off-roaders being non-constructive.
His main point (I think) is good, though: too much of a schizm between user groups.
