4 year old Indel-B Fridge: Keep getting "E1" error?

Wiffleball Batter
Having a recurring problem with my Truckfridge TF-41 (A/K/A Indel-B TB-41) 41 qt fridge.

Fridge was purchased in 2014. We camp a LOT and the fridge has seen some hard use (though to be fair, it stays in the truck so it's not really exposed to dirt. But heat, cold, vibration and dust - OH YEAH!)

In 2016 I added a 2nd battery and ran a dedicated 12v wire to the rear of the Suburban for the express purpose of running the fridge. Last year the wire broke while we were on a bumpy road so I had to switch the fridge back to one of the factory 12v outlets that goes to the "main" battery (i.e. the starter battery.)

Anyway, last weekend the dedicated 12v outlet to the 2nd battery went out again. Not sure why, I'm going to have to pull the interior body panel off to see what's happened. Maybe it lost the power wire or maybe the ground, don't know. In any case, once again I plugged the fridge into one of the factory 12v power outlets, but when I checked a few hours later the fridge had warmed up to 41 degrees (I normally set it at 32) and the "E1" error code was showing.

I checked the voltage cutoff switch and it was set to "low." I didn't have my multi-meter with me so I wasn't able to check the voltage on the battery to see if it had simply drawn down the starter battery enough to kick on the voltage cutoff switch. But I'm wondering at this point if 4 years of bouncing around in the truck have caused something to come loose to give me the error code. Has anyone else had a similar experience with an Indel-B fridge?
