40 year old trailer being rebuilt into expo trailer

Got a trailer for free today. I need to rework everything, found a crack in the frame that needs to be welded but either than that it seems to be a solid trailer. I have been looking on this site for weeks and i think i know what i want to build. I want to use a rooftop tent that i will make out of a canvas wall tent. The back will be storage with a 1500w inverter and two deep cycle batteries.

I got her cut down to the frame today. a little welding work and she will be perfect. By the time i had her dismantles it was to dark to take pictures. I am getting all the weld spots cleaned up and am preparing to strengthen any weak spots. I picked up some hub buddies and new wheel bearings as well as some black rustolieum paint. when i get home from work tomorrow i will post pics.

Are you going to change the tongue?

yea i am going to that tongue is very weak. I'm not sure what i am going to do with the tongue just yet but it needs to be much stronger. going to my in laws shop today to weld up the crack and reinforce a few places. I picked up a grinder with a wire wheel and a flapper disc to clean up the frame. I want to have it painted by the end of the week. I work in the oil patch in central Alberta so i don't have many days off in a week to work on projects
