Do you know what flange it is?
Not sure I ordered a gasket so when I get it I will find out...I think it's the 01-04 4m50 that might work.I will order that gasket next to see

Hmmm... the link works for me.
Anyway, go to steinbauer.cc/au and do a search for 4M50. You should see quite a few FE models listed.
If you find the chip you are after you can contact Alan, as he is a Steinbauer reseller.
Here's a product sheet I found on their site
So after a bunch of research last night seems that the 00-04 4m50 has a td05 - 16 with a 10cm exhaust housing, with what seems to be a t3 flange.
05-07 seems to have downsized to td04 - 15 g with a 6cm housing abd a td04 flange. Down sized it seems to make the egr work better.
08-10 is back up to td05 - 13 I think with a vnt hot side and a td05 flange which should be a t3.
The 08-10 despite having a ton of emissions added actually gained 10 hp

I presume this is due to the VGT. These motors are quite robust and could be powerhouses if there were a supporting aftermarket for the foundational components such as turbos, injectors/pump and electronic tuning.
With these components and proper tuning, 300 -350 HP and 600 - 650 TQ should be reliably achievable. That should cover off roading, steep mountain passes with a heavy camper body on the back, towing and just about anything else you can think of. The auto trans will handle it stock, as it OEM for the Dodge Cummins 3500 chassis cab trucks. (Aisin 68RC)
Does Steinbauer offer custom tuning or can you modify their tune with a laptop?
If you REALLY want to keep the 4M50 and tune it, this is the only solution that I know of. Get out your credit card:

setup for "popular" engines, but can be used to control any common rail/electronic diesel engine.
