I got a good layer Of fiberglass down. I wanted to make sure nothing would move when I took the top of the 4runner for the final fiberglass session, so I ground into the topper around all the edges and put a couple layers of chopped mat fiberglass on, made sure to stuff it real good into the tight gaps between the board and the topper.
I removed the top today. Maybe I'll have some good weather this weekend and I can get a little bit more done.
The hardest part was grinding down into the fibers of the topper.
I ended up using a wire wheel on my angle grinder. It got in there with the quickness. And it leaves a nice rough texture, which to me just seems like it'd be something I want for good fiberglass sticking.
I also got the new bumpers on, I saw the weather was starting to rain, so I grabbed a rag soaked in WD40 and wiped them all down. I need to get some paint on them.
No pics.
