A whirlwind of completed projects.. A small tip, save the hardware from your rehab. I don't know how many different length and size screws were in a single cabinet. I ended up reusing much of it despite purchasing a bunch of "bronze-tin " hardware.

Floors laid-

We did a lot of research on flooring, one would think a simple topic. But much like the common heated debates found on Portal arguing the merits of velcro vs. sewing on of patches you get opposing viewpoints.

One flooring guy suggest :

But if you call them they will quickly tell you it s a no go! This flooring doesn't like extreme temperature fluctuations you have in a vehicle. Many have still opted for it with mixed results.

I have used peel and stick tile and had mixed results as well. Did great until a cold and damp evening seemed to release all the glue.

Laminate flooring was a suggestion as it floats and should do well with a flexible floor found in an RV. Major concern here was "water proof"

Good old linoleum ? This was not a terrible option and we almost did it. But it was hard to find a pattern of "wood looking" floor that wasn't dated.

The last option ( we discounted tile and real wood because of weight)

So what did we go with ?

We stopped by one of the big box stores Lowes and jackpot! ( well we will see if this was a good choice)

Engineered plank style linoleum with built in weather guard, and click in tongue and groove.

That has come a long ways. It's looking great and it should as you will be spending a lot of time in it. It sure looks like you can do that now!

Your grandma has a very nicely remodeled apartment there. When are you going to show what you did to the RV?

Cool, I hate trying to make a bed every day. If the cab over has a bed your all set! Mine is set up all the time, and I never find headroom to be an issue over the seats.

Some updates.. It is really starting to come together on the inside. Learned how to lay down some wall paper, build some valances, and assemble Ikea furniture.

We opted to remove the captains chairs and tiny table. Instead we installed some Ikea furniture ( yes I know).. We purchased a double length desk to create a workstation/ dining area. It has a hidden back shelf that will house pug ins ( tied to inverter) and our electronics. This should help keep the clutter down. Many of the full timers blogs we follow regularly preach the concept of a place for everything and everything in its place. I was surprised with the quality of this furniture. Ikea has upped their game sine the last time I purchased their stuff.

Installed the Valances.. Some fresh pine cut down, and stained to match the floors.

Looking great guys. Nice and bright and airy looking inside which I think will make it feel a lot more like a home.
Good job!

Finished bolting all the desks and drawers to the floor. Came up with a strap system to keep the drawers closed. A little perspective shot :

Excited it is almost done on the inside.. the other stuff will be odds and ends. Looking to build out a fully powered workstation with inverter.

Looking good!

Thanks! We took Scotty on the first long distance trip. Drove to my families place in Mohave Valley AZ. I was impressed how well this drove and the ability to hit the hills with little trouble. We did not camp in Scotty ( stayed with Parents) But worked on more odds and ends in the driveway. The only time I was a little nervous was on the drive home. The winds were howling and every now and again it would catch me off guard. Otherwise the rig drove great and all the mechanical systems are in check.
