4x4 ranger Longtravel I've been working on

Thought I'd share some pics of an explorer sport trac I've been working on. I know the "go-fast" stuff isn't quite as popular on this site, but something similar/more basic could be a nice addition to more "trail cruising" rigs

The Rcv axle components are awesome, and can articulate a full 45 degrees without binding.

Those welds are beautiful! Did you fab the arms and spindle yourself?

It's nice to see a 4x4 LT. It seems most people with LT don't want to deal with the extra hassle of cv axles.

Dude that is awesome. I love long travel suspension. How much up and down travel do you have?

There is a kit to add long travel suspension to the front of 4 runners (picking one up tomorrow). I'm holding back just because I don't need it...but it would be super awesome cool.

Also post pics of your entire vehicle. If you are doing this to it, I bet its got some other cool stuff on it as well.

Thanks guys, yes we built the arms and spindles. This is on a sport trac, but the frame is the same for 4x Rangers (99up) and explorers (95-01) as well.
Really thinking about picking up a cheap explorer 4x for myself after doing this setup.
LR Max: approx. 7" up and 9" down, depending on ride height.
16" total travel.

Thanks guys, unfortunately it left today. We had it a long time and the owner wanted it back by today so we basically finished all the major stuff and he will finish the loose ends.

When you say that's 16" travel you mean wheel travel or are those 16" travel coil overs?

I can't see how you would package a coil over with 16" travel on that rig

We have this kit now, along with our basic Longtravel kit available in 4.5 and 5.5" wider per side that uses stock cv joints and extended 300m shafts. 12.5" and 14" travel depending on the extension.
