Well, truck is mostly done and it was time to start a new project. I have a good friend who is into vintage / period correct over landing. ITs official, I have been bitten by the BUG. LOLOL

Wow ! That one is unique.
Interesting hood & grille logos. Appears left hand drive too what I think indicates early production model, maybe explains the logos too ?

Money wise of course cancels out fun.
But probably worth alot more as a collector specimen than ’Expo rig.

It is tech. a CJ3B-J4 ( willys assembled by Mitsubishi ). I considered restoring it, but in the end, it would cost far more to restore than it would be worth. Plus, its just clean enough to utilize as a solid vintage platform. So vintage expedition vehicle it is, I am thinking vintage - minimalist.

That windshield is interesting. For a time some Jeeps with that opening h were used as a platform for a recoiless rifle


It deff. had a 106mm recoiless rifle mounted in it. ;) I am searching for a CJ3B safari wind shield frame to put on it so that I can actually have some visibility.

A few upgrades this week (pics to follow).
New radiator
Swapping out the 12volt gen. to a 150 amp alt.
New dual batt.
All new cables
New fuel pump
New fuel lines
All new hoses
New-ish air cleaner assembly
All new carburetor linkage and choke linkage
New master cylinder
a few new gauges for the dash

Next week will hopefully be a full stainless exhaust
Ordered steel for a roll cage and set aside some shop time at my buddies place
Still need to order seats
Still looking for a safari front windshield frame
