These later pics show 102x56x4.5 (x3) collapsed tents. I think to maximize interior space i need to let the tent be the widest part instead of the rack rails. Because the burb has a 120 inch roof I think I can squeak floor hatches beyond the feet. My challenge is that I'm 6'6" so having enough space is hard to come by. I'm vacillating back and forth a bit in pull out drawer style or gas assisted pivot up and over style. I'm leaning toward hinge as it is much easier to design. What I don't like though is then my hatches will be stowed on top so sealing is a pain. I'm also not crazy about the 13.5 plus inch height of the whole thing but with 3 tents... not sure how to avoid! I also have this rather involved idea of making a pull out kitchen behind the bench that essentially seals the burb interior and leaves void space behind bench for egress to hatch of middle tent. In theory I could stand upright in that area for changing clothes. I'd really like to have a little sealed (no stink) toilet down there too so I don't have to go outside. Any suggestions on toilet or anything else?

Ok I'm re-thinking how much space I actually need for six people. This scenario cuts 3 tent units down to 2 5'x10' tents or basically 1 big 10'x10'. If we slept feet to feet, I can easily fit 3 people (even adults) on a 5'x10'. By the time we want more space I'll probably own something different anyway. This will buy me 5 years anyway.

So I'd just flip or slide out the top portion of what you see here. Do you guys think it's worth having the hard aluminum waterproof ceiling or should I just open up to canvas all the way? I don't want to attach a fly or deal with excessive moisture when packing up or sleeping.
