60 70's era factory pto winch cable size and length help!

I have a toyota pto winch that the cable is shot. I am wanting to put this on my 1965 fj45 pick up. It will not be hardcore off-roaded but I do plan to us it mostly to pull trees when cutting fire wood. I want to go stock size and lenght, use normal shear pin size.

For what you want it for, I'd say probably 3/8" wire rope. As for length, about as short as you can, down to 50', for the area you'll be working. Only you can say if that's 50' or 100' or some place in between.
