People here usually swap the seats for other Toyota ones that fit just fine. Its common to see a 60 series with VX 80 series seats ( which would be same as your 40th anniversary ones). Apparently they bolt right into 60 and 70 series brackets..
We had a special edition 80 come with a set of Recaro seats with the upholstery match. That would be best, but they're unobtanium.
I haven't changed them, but I'm looking at Corbeau Sport or the Recaro Specialist seats. These don't look like something out of the Fast and the Furious and yet they should be a BIG improvement over stock. What's keeping me is the fact that I can't sit on them before I purchase.
