[Expedition Essentials]

Been a little bit since I've posted up a build thread: Plan is to do a driving resto mod on this old girl and enjoy using it as much as possible doing the things we enjoy most.

67 Australian import RHD

Pretty much untouched and solid, little bit of surface rust on door hinges and interior panels

This version came with a 2.6 6 cyl engine. Runs pretty well or will once I address the intermittency of the fuel pump.

First order of business is to just tidy it up and get it into good running order to pass a safety inspection.

The rest will come soon.

I've already found a correct grill but I thought this homemade version was quite interesting

So it's looking like my inherited intermittent fuel pump problem may just be a dirty fuel tank. Regardless I have found an excellent resource in Bellingham WA that in restores the old SU fuel pumps. Went ahead and sent it in anyway.

Also managed to find the correct grill for the front: the mad max version (named by Ray) can now hang on the shop wall.

I think I found one with a 6 cylinder I'm interested in buying. Just wondering how hard the engine parts are to get to rebuild the engine.

It's a 6, parts are definitely a bit more difficult and expensive.

Found a company in CA that can rebuild but they said the cost is higher than normal.
